Scripps Health Opens Up Vaccines to 65 and Older

But health care systems that have extra doses of the vaccine available are able to go at their own pace, the county said. Scripps Health on Tuesday said they were one of them. Scripps Health will begin administering the COVID-19 vaccine starting Wednesday to patients 65 and older with an appointment. Dr. Ghazala Sharieff, Chief Medical Officer for Acute Care, said within a few hours of the announcement, they already had 6,800 patients scheduled for appointments. Patients will be notified through the MyScripps portal if they are eligible for the vaccine. Appointments will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis from there at select clinics.

Power restored to over 1200 customers in La Quinta, Bermuda Dunes, & Indio Palm Desert power outage Power was restored to most customers just before Noon. Imperial Irrigation District announced that a power outage is affecting 1,257 customers in La Quinta, Bermuda Dunes, and Indio. According to IID, the areas affected are from Miles Avenue & Washington Street & South of Fred Waring Drive. There was no word on what caused the outage or when power might return to most customers. According to our First Alert Weather team, light showers moved across the Coachella Valley this morning and the possibility of heavier embedded showers still exists.

(TNN) - A cold front continues to make progress across Texoma tonight leaving behind mostly cloudy skies. A few sprinkles can’t be ruled out through the overnight hours. Winds will be out of the north at 10-15 mph and overnight lows will fall into the mid-30s. Skies will remain mostly cloudy on Tuesday, but with a lack of moisture present across southwest Oklahoma and northwest Texas there will only be a chance for a stray shower across northwest Texas during the evening. Highs will top out in the low-50s with wind chills in the low-to-mid 40s. Winds will be out of the north at 10-15 mph.
